HOW GEARED CAME TO BE

A QUICK INTRODUCTION

I’m Alex, a graphic designer, cyclist, and the creator of Geared. I have several years experience in many areas of design including graphics, web, photography, and video editing.

IT STARTED WITH THE TRIP OF A LIFETIME

I fell in love with bikes in 2012, when I rode my bicycle 4,000 miles across the United States to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis. I really like to incorporate bikes in any fun project that I create.

BRAINSTORMING

What Geared is now was not even close to my first idea of creating a game. It took a lot of brainstorming and research to determine a solid direction that I felt would be good to pursue.

DEVELOP. TEST. REPEAT.

The previous versions of Geared were developed, tested, and refined until I had something to move forward with. I have worked hard to iron out any kinks in gameplay mechanics.

POLISHING IT UP

I have had the final version of Geared tested and reviewed by over 60 individuals. The feedback was amazing and it allowed me to discover any issues that might have been overlooked.

SHOW THE WORLD

Once I had finalized the gameplay, designed the graphics and web site, shot the video, took the pictures, and put together a plan to make Geared a reality, it was time to put it out there for people play.
